He got inclined toward the art of photography at a young age and was initially inspired by the work of street photographers of the 1940s and 1950s.

Some of Kussh S Sinha’s major influences include French artist and humanist photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson and Indian photographer and photojournalist Raghu Rai.

He worked as an assistant director for the 2013 action comedy film Besharam, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Pallavi Sharda. The film received generally negative reviews and Sarit Ray of the Hindustan Times described it as “a senseless saga of shamelessness” and rated it only half a star out of 5.

Kussh S Sinha has directed the horror mystery Nikita Roy and the Book of Darkness which stars his sister Sonakshi Sinha.
