Glastonbury said: “We have, once again, been staggered by the sheer number of people from around the world who hoped to come to the festival, with demand significantly outstripping supply.”
Over 16,000 coach and ticket packages sold out in 20 minutes on Thursday night.
All tickets were sold without a line-up although rumours are rife that Adele and Coldplay could feature, as well as Foo Fighters who had to pull out of their headline slot this year after lead singer Dave Grohl broke his leg.
Fans still hoping to go to Glastonbury might be in with a chance as there will be a ticket resale opportunity in the spring, with the registration opening in a few days time. Keep an eye out on the Glastonbury website for more information!
