F*** Disney - MMA fighter Helen Peralta stages topless protest while weighing in ahead of Invi
Helen Peralta raised eyebrows by staging a topless protest against Disney ahead of her fight with UFC veteran Poliana Botelho at Invicta FC 49.
The 5-2 MMA fighter stole the show ahead of her latest fight as she weighed in topless, with only crisscrossed tape covering her nipples.
The words ‘F*** Disney’ had been written on the tape before it was stuck to her breasts in what was at first a confusing shot at the company.
Apparently, this is not the first time Peralta has done this.
During her time on ‘The Ultimate Fighter, Season 30’ which featured Amanda Nunes and Julianna Pena as coaches, the Dominican fighter pulled a similar stunt, according to one of her castmates.
TUF heavyweight runner-up Zac Pauga, explained on social media that Peralta attended one of her weigh-ins in a similar state only for producers to ask her to re-enact her weigh-in with a shirt on.
When the show aired on ESPN, which is owned by Disney, Peralta’s risqué weigh-in had been cut and it apparently did not sit well with the 34-year-old, who made her feelings clear ahead of her latest fight.
“I’ll give you the background!” Pauga tweeted.

“She did this for her fight on TUF 30 but the producers cut it and made her weigh in again after making weight just for the cameras. Funniest moment of the season and they cut it because ESPN is a Disney-owned company.”
Peralta was knocked out of TUF 30 at the quarter-final stage by Kaytlin Neil who picked up a split decision win after three rounds before falling short against the eventual winner of the season, Julianna Miller, in the next round.
‘Iansã’ may not have gotten the chance to shine during her Ultimate Fighter stint but has already impressed many in the MMA world after picking up big wins over the likes of Cheyanne Vlismas and Jennifer Chieng during her short career.
Peralta also holds two wins in bare-knuckle boxing having beaten Christine Ferea and Maia Kahaunaele under the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship banner.
Tai Emery recently went viral after winning her BKFC debut and flashing the crowd while celebrating her victory before promising more wild antics moving forward.
So, Peralta may be right to feel like ESPN and Disney stopped her from having a similar moment to Emery, who went from obscurity to one of the most talked about people in combat sport overnight.
