Aldis Hodge is an American actor. Among his roles are the films Hidden Figures, Brian Banks, The Invisible Man (2020), One Night in Miami…, and Magic Camp, and the series Leverage, Underground, and Girlfriends.

He is the son of Yolette Evangeline (Richardson) and Aldis Basil Hodge, who were in the U.S. Marine Corps. His mother is from Florida. His brother is actor Edwin Hodge.

He has been described as having a father from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, with a great-grandfather from the Dominican Republic, and a mother who is of African-American and Native American descent. It is not clear if this Native American ancestry has been verified/documented.

Aldis’s paternal grandfather was named Edwin Basil Hodge.

Aldis’s paternal grandmother was Margarita Valeria Thomas (the daughter of Ferdinand Thomas and Mary Evangeline Jennings). Margarita was born on St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Mary possibly was the daughter of Albert Jennings and Susanna Augusta Thomas.
