Aditya Raj Kapoor started his career by working as an assistant director with his uncle Raj Kapoor for the 1973 Hindi-language musical romance film Bobby.

He served as the director of the 2007 comedy-drama film Don’t Stop Dreaming. Starring Rishi Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Richard Blackwood, and Michelle Collins, the film was released on March 16, 2007.

He directed the 2007 English-language film Sambar Salsa, starring Rishi Kapoor, Preyanka, Roberta Caocci, and Ateesh Randev in the lead roles.

Aditya Raj Kapoor made his first film appearance by playing the role of Anil Khanna (the industrialist) in the Hindi-language action film Chase in 2010. His co-stars for the project included Anuj Saxena, Udita Goswami, Sameer Kochhar, Ashok Banthia, Tareena Patel, Rajesh Khattar, and Shweta Menon.
